F10: History and architecture in the European District
Guided Walk : 2 hours
On this guided tour, you will learn all about the history, implantation and function of the European institutions in Brussels.
The city, also known as the capital of Europe, is in fact home not only to the headquarters of the European Commission, but also to the permanent seat of the European Council in the brand new Europa Building, as well as the European Parliament, which meets here and in Strasbourg.
Around these main institutions, there are many subordinate institutions in the European Quarter.
Thousands of lobbyists and interest representatives, many of them German, are also active in this quarter dominated by office buildings.
